A quiet summer evening in the bay south of

Lovišta at the end of Pelješac Peninsula with a

lone fisherman passing.

30th June is always a big party night in Korčula

when Korčulanies dress up to celebrate summer.  In

2013 it was a particularly special party because of

Croatia’s entry into Europe.

“Eleonora” is Lucie’s late Father’s boat, seen

here with Lucie and her Father on Board. She is

at present waiting patiently for an enthusiast to

restore her.

“The Calm Before

the Storm”

Ursula began painting “The Calm Before the

Storm” in the beginning of December.

January began with gale force storms in the

Mediterranean with several ships in difficulty.

Rescues were successful

“The Calm Before the Storm” was signed on 6th

January. Then on 7th January the storm of

terrorism broke out in France.

We are all Charlie and this storm will also be

overcome…

religious. This particularly shows out at Easter

when there is a big procession after the Good

Friday evening Mass. The atmosphere of this

procession has been caught by Ursula in this

painting.

good for one’s health 1. Huffington Post,

but has allowed Ursula to bring beautiful

colour into this old fishing boat lying

along the Dubrovnik River. The Cranes

are contemplating the stormy weather and

wondering when they will be able to

continue their voyage to Scandinavia….
