Ursula has a number of projects for this winter. People in Korčula

seem to like the idea of “Korčula as seen through eyes from

elsewhere” so she is working very hard painting canvasses with

Korčula  views.

In fact she has been approached by locals who would like to organise an exhibition of her work with this theme in the Cultural Centre. This exhibition will most likely be at Easter.

Ursula’s latest work is centred around the King Tomislava

Square, also known as  “The Rotunda” where the daily fruit

and vegetable market is held.

She has been able to incorporate a number of familiar residents as well as some of her “icons” such as lot of red colour, a black dog (reminisent of her Jycken) and of course a little girl. She has added an interesting touch by moving and modifying one of the 4 carved works from the square, Trg Pomirenja to decorate the side wall.

Sungazing just after sunrise and just before sunset can give you peace and tranquillity   as well as helping cure many serious illnesses such as cancer. On the other hand it can be very dangerous   . It’s much easier and safer to look at a lovely sunset painting. Better still sleep under a sunset on the wall! With this in mind, Ursula has painted two more big sunset works with a third in progress. Together with her smaller “Friends at Sunset” these will be part of the “Sunsets around Dalmatia” exhibition.
